Maksim, a young man from the city of Rehovot, found himself drowning out life with another smoke of marijuana. As he was smoking with a friend, a minister from church approached and decided to strike up a conversation. He shared about a power far greater than any drug — the power of the Holy Spirit, that can set people free and fill them with true joy.
The minister invited Maksim to come to a church service, and Maksim gave it a try, coming to the service with his girlfriend. During the service, the Holy Spirit deeply touched his heart. He felt inner freedom and a desire to start a new life.
Not long after, Maksim and his girlfriend got married. Today they both attend every church meeting, actively serve in the community, and thank God for the miracle of transformation.
Their lives have completely changed — addiction and emptiness have been replaced by faith, joy, and a new future in God.
